Students from Valley Christian's Advanced Business classes entered the World Vision challenge to create innovative solutions to solve the problem of clean water access in the Philippines. Of the five teams from around the United States that advanced to the finals of the competition, three were from Valley Christian's Advanced Business classes.
Team H2Go's solution included an evaporative water purification system utilizing glass topped boxes that capture safe drinking water. They were awarded $25,000 in seed capital and a one-year commitment from World Vision for business development to deploy their solution in the town of Sogod on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. Their innovation could improve the health and lives of hundreds of people in the Philippines.
